How much does an Open Studio membership cost in Siem Reap - Spean Neak?
The 5 main memberships plans are:

Is it for beginners or confirmed potters?
Absolute beginners and confirmed potters feel comfortable alike.
On your very first day; you will be on-boarded by a coach.
The coach will assist you by:
– Touring the studio with you.
– Give you a free pottery consultation to know your level and what you want to achieve.
– Propose you a lessons package, or you can practice by yourself.
– The coach will assist you to start your studio time.
What is included in my Membership?
-Unlimited Access to the Studio:
Everyday, from 7am to 11pm.
-Stoneware clay:
Clay at your discretion, during your studio time; for take-away and firings, a rate apply (see below).
-Equipment:
Our full range of materials and equipment.
-Pottery Guide:
“Do’s and dont’s” guide to pottery making.
-Your coach:
He / she is there to help you when you feel loss.
What is NOT included in my Membership?
-The firing of your creations:
An additional fee applies, see below.
-A teacher, or lesson(s):
The Open Studio do not include any lessons. Coaches are there to resolve your studio issues. They can also advise you about the lesson fitting the best to your projects.
-Cleaning Service:
We thank you to respect our equipment and studio space by leaving them as clean and tidy as you found them.
-Systematic results:
Pottery is not an exact science, and what comes out of the kiln might not always meet your expectations. Experimenting is the key to future success!
Can I take lessons or assist at a workshop without having membership?
Workshop and activities:
Workshops and activities are accessible without membership.
The 1h45 pottery classes, and painting activity are accesible without membership too.
Lessons:
Lessons are for members only.
What is the minimum age to get a membership?
16 years old.
Can I come with my children and make it a family activity?
At Go Pottery Open Studio, we propose dedicated workshops and activities for individual, families and non members.
Workshop and activities are available for adults and kids of all ages.

Kids under 16 years old must be accompanied full-time by an adult in charge.
These activities and workshops take place in the common areas of the studio, accessible to all.
In the membership area; non-members and children below 16 years are not allowed.
What is the firing cost?
–The firing of your creations is calculated based on the weight of your pottery piece(s):
- Take-away raw clay: $4.00 per Kg.
- First firing only (~1000°C – ~1830°F) (bisque): $5.00 per Kg (min. $1 per piece).
- Glaze firing (~1300°C – ~2350°F) (bisque and high fire): $6.00 per Kg, (min. $1 per piece).
For the Glaze firing, the use of standard glazes are include.
Does Go Pottery have a free trial?
You can try Go Pottery Open Studio for free to experience the studio, check out the facilities, and meet our community. Available to new customers and local residents only. Valid ID required. Terms and conditions may vary. Each Go Pottery Studio location is independently owned and operated.
Once I am registered, do I need to book or call before coming?
The Open Studio is available fro 7am to 11pm, at your will, no booking needed.
How can I get the glaze color I want for my pieces?
You can use all our standard glazes; which means +/- 11 colors for now; we are working to give always more.
Can I bring my own clay from outside?
For compatibility and safety reasons, we do not allow outside clay in our studio. We provide stoneware clay, which is specifically chosen to work well with our glazes and kilns. This ensures consistent firing results and prevents potential damage to our equipment from unknown clay bodies.
Can I fire my pieces myself?
Our trained staff handles firing activities to ensure safety and proper kiln operation. You just need to inform our staff when your pieces are completely dry and ready, and they’ll take care of the firing process according to our weekly schedule. Remember, a firing fee applies for all pieces and is due beforehand.
How do I know when my fired pieces are ready to pick up?
Your coach will notify you directly via our Telegram group once your pieces have completed their firing process, and are ready for pickup. We don’t have a specific pickup day; you can collect them during our regular studio hours and within two weeks. Pieces not collected after two weeks will be considered unwanted and placed in our “Lost and Found” or donation-based area.
What if I don’t like my pieces after they’ve been fired?
Pottery and ceramics is a process where the final result can be a surprise! We can’t offer refunds if you’re not happy with how your pieces turn out after firing. Our low fees are calculated to your advantage and we encourage you to embrace experimentation. Remember that every piece, even an unexpected one, is a part of your learning journey with clay.
Can I make very small/ very big pieces?
If you plan on making unusually sized pieces, please talk to your coach first. All pieces are fired in shared kilns. Large pieces:
They can only be fired when there is enough space.
Very small pieces:
They require extra care, especially during kiln setup, as the glaze must not touch the kiln’s surfaces. Please remember there’s a minimum charge of $1 per unit, which includes small items like beads or pendants.
Can I keep my unfinished pieces at the studio; and how long they can be stored, is there any limit?
You can store both your greenware (unfired) and bisqueware (first-fired) pieces at our studio.
To keep unfinished greenware moist for continued work on the next day, cover it with a damp cloth and store it in the shade.
Please let our staff know before you leave so we can help store your pieces properly overnight.
Note: we are not responsible for stored pieces.
While there’s no strict limit, be mindful of shared space. Our staff will notify you if you have an unusually large number of pieces.
To ensure sufficient storage space for everyone we request that greenware and bisqueware be fired respectively within one week, and recommend that glazed bisqueware be final-fired within 4 days to protect the glaze from dust and moisture.
Can I leave my own tools here?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring, use and leave your own tools at the studio. However, we don’t have dedicated personal storage spaces for members, and each personal item left in the studio is the responsibility of its owner.
What if I accidentally break something in the studio?
Accidents can happen; if you accidentally break a tool or piece of equipment, please inform your coach immediately. Depending on the nature and cost of the damage, there may be a fee to cover repair or replacement.
